Coming up are a couple of videos by the great scholar, lecturer and author, Fr. George Maloney (of blessed memory). Fr. George, a graduate and former professor at the Pontifical Oriental Institute in Rome, worked tirelessly to translate the works and teachings of the Eastern Fathers for an audience living in the modern Western culture. I've just started working my way through a couple of his books, and I must say I'm duly impressed. His Prayer of the Heart: The Contemplative Tradition of the Christian East is simply fantastic in the way it takes teachings that are far removed from us in time and culture, and translates them into a modern parlance while being faithful to the Fathers' intentions. More to come on that later.
